High Holidays 2025 at Chabad S. Pedro

Tashlich & Shofar

Tashlich is a beautiful tradition performed on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah. The Hebrew word “Tashlich” means “to cast away,” and during the ceremony, we symbolically cast our sins into a body of water, such as a river or an ocean. This powerful act represents our hope to start the new year with a clean slate.
